We are looking for candidate who are enthusiastic about working with Java and want to make a career in this area. The ideal candidates should have a technical degree (engineering, science, etc). EITS will work with successful candidates to help train them (On-the-Job-Training) over a 2 month period of time. Upon successful completion of the Internship, the intention is to bring a successful candidate in as a Junior Programmer. The successful candidate will be partnered with an experienced programmer.
Core Deliverables and Accountabilities:
In the role of Intern Java Software Developer, you will help develop EITS solutions to ensure that they are fit to be implemented towards our customers. This role demands a high degree of accountability and will require someone who has an ability to work under both time and project pressures. An ability to work in a high security workplace is essential.
Key Deliverables Responsibilities include:
Work with RD Manager Project Managers to ensure quality and timeliness of projects
Work under tight deadlines to deliver quality, robust software
Work closely with the Support organization
Review user customer documentation
Help to write Test Specifications from Requirements Functional Specifications
Interact with other team members to discuss review faults

J2EE, Enterprise Java Beans, Servlets, etc
Valuable working knowledge of JBOSS (or similar EJB containers)

Knowledge of databases tools
Knowledge of client/server architecture
Knowledge of Telecoms standards
