Roles & Responsibility

Process Engineering: Develop the "Process Route Sheet" for every current part. Determine the optimal sequence of operations to ensure maximum efficiency.

Technical Sourcing & Audit: Evaluate third-party machining shops in North/Central India. Assess their machine health, spindle accuracy, and ability to handle non-ferrous materials (which require specific speeds/feeds compared to steel).

DFM (Design for Manufacturability): Coordinate with international clients to suggest design tweaks that make parts easier (and cheaper) to machine without losing functionality.

Fixture & Tooling Design: Lead the design of high-precision jigs and fixtures. Ensure that the tooling selected (carbide, PCD, etc.)



is optimized for the specific non-ferrous alloy being used.

Technical Competencies

Programming Expertise: Deep understanding of G-codes and M-codes. Ability to review/optimize CAM programs (Mastercam, Delcam, or NX).

Tooling Knowledge: Expert-level knowledge of cutting tools tailored for Brass, Bronze, and Aluminium (addressing issues like built-up edge or chip evacuation).

Tolerancing: Mastery of GD&T; (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). You need someone who speaks the language of microns.
