Role Summary: We are seeking a agile and dedicated English Educator to support the academic development of student-athletes. This role requires solid communication skills, the ability to integrate English instruction with athletic schedules, and a commitment to helping athletes excel both academically and in their respective sports. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering literacy skills, critical thinking, and effective communication in student-athletes while ensuring their educational success.

Key Responsibilities

Teach English Language and Literature for Grades 10–12 across multiple educational boards but a small group.

Prepare students for board-level assessments.

Design and deliver English communication and public speaking modules, tailored to the needs of IIS athletes.

Classify athletes based on proficiency and create structured sessions accordingly.

Focus on qualitative and quantitative outcomes in communication skill-building

Contribute to the IIS Newsletter – content creation, editing, and mentoring

Guide and prepare athletes for debates,



media engagements, emceeing, and other institutional events

Collaboration & Integration

Coordinate with coaches, sports science staff and academic staff to align communication training with athlete development

Collaborate with academic team members to ensure consistency in content delivery and student tracking

Work with event and media teams for smooth planning and representation of athletes in IIS activities

Contribute to interdisciplinary sessions and life skill modules that involve communication, leadership, or presentation skills

Core Competencies and Skills

Fluency in English and Hindi (spoken and written)

Robust classroom presence and ability to train in public speaking and media interaction

Experience in developing and delivering English communication modules, preferably for non-traditional learners

Creativity in planning athlete-relevant, real-life communication tasks
