Job Description: An Accounts Officer in the logistics sector manages the financial supply chain. They reconcile vendor and shipping invoices, process freight and customs costs, and track inventory. - Freight & Customs Processing: Review and process logistics-specific invoices, including third-party logistics (3PL) fees, freight charges, and customs duty payments.
- Reconciliation: Match statements of accounts with shipping companies, terminal operators, and transport carriers to verify delivery data and address billing discrepancies.
- Cost Allocation & Analysis: Allocate logistical expenses—such as packaging, transport, and warehousing—to exact shipments to help management monitor supply chain efficiency.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee vendor payments, ensure timely processing of shipping invoices, and manage client billing.
- Inventory & Stock Audit:



Collaborate with warehouse managers to execute initial audits of stock levels and reconcile inventory data with financial books.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly expenditure reports, ensuring financial compliance with accounting standards (such as IFRS) and statutory requirements. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6]

Requirements
- Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
- Experience: 3 to 5+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with exposure to supply chain, shipping, or transport environments.
- Technical Skills: Solid proficiency in spreadsheet management (Excel) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (e.g., Tally)
