About the Role

Chandigarh University is looking for a agile and confident News Anchor to join its Media & Communications team. The ideal candidate should possess excellent presentation skills, strong command over current affairs, and the ability to deliver news content professionally across digital, social media, and institutional platforms.

Job Responsibilities

Present and anchor news bulletins, special reports, interviews, and university-related programs.

Research, write, and edit news scripts in coordination with the content and production teams.

Conduct interviews with academicians, industry leaders, students, and distinguished guests.

Deliver live and recorded presentations with clarity, confidence, and professionalism.

Stay updated with current affairs, education trends, and institutional developments.

Collaborate with videographers, editors,



and content teams for seamless production.

Participate in voice-over recordings, promotional videos, podcasts, and special media projects.

Ensure accuracy, neutrality, and credibility in all news and media communications.

Qualifications

~ Bachelor's degree

~2–5 years of experience as a News Anchor, Presenter, Reporter, or Broadcast Skilled.

~ Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills in English and Hindi.

~ Strong on-camera presence and confidence in live reporting.

~ Ability to handle interviews, panel discussions, and event coverage.

~ Knowledge of digital media platforms and content trends.

~ Robust scriptwriting and storytelling abilities will be an added advantage.
