About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Building & Construction Estimator to join a growing commercial construction team delivering major Tier 1 mining infrastructure (NPI) projects across Western Australia.
Working alongside project managers, engineers and senior stakeholders, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive tenders for projects ranging from $1 million to $30 million . This is a quick-paced role where you’ll manage multiple tenders simultaneously while ensuring quality, profitability and client expectations are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions for commercial and mining infrastructure projects.
Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
Complete quantity take-offs and detailed cost analysis.
Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Develop accurate pricing for labour, plant, materials and subcontract packages.
Identify project risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions.
Liaise with clients, consultants, suppliers and internal project teams throughout the tender process.
Manage multiple tenders concurrently while meeting strict submission deadlines.
Assist with tender handovers to project delivery teams following successful awards.
Maintain estimating databases and current market pricing information.
About You
Previous experience as a Commercial or Construction Estimator.
Robust background estimating commercial building, industrial or mining infrastructure projects.
Experience pricing projects valued between $1M and $30M .
Ability to successfully manage multiple tenders at varying stages simultaneously.
Robust understanding of Australian construction methodologies, contracts and procurement processes.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
