Key areas of accountability/responsibility
Vehicle Dispatch Planning
Coordinate and schedule dispatch of vehicles or components as per production and customer delivery plans.
Ensure timely dispatch to dealers, OEMs, or customers to meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
Logistics Coordination
Liaise with transporters, logistics partners, and internal departments to ensure smooth shipment flow.
Optimize routes and transportation modes for cost efficiency and timely delivery.
Documentation & Compliance
Prepare and verify dispatch-related documents such as invoices, e-way bills, delivery challans, and shipping instructions.
Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements (e.g., GST, RTO rules, transport regulations).
Inventory & Stock Management
Monitor dispatch-related inventory levels, including packaging material, finished goods, and transit stock.
Coordinate with the stores and production teams to manage stock availability and order fulfilment.
Customer Coordination
Communicate with customers/dealers regarding dispatch schedules, tracking updates, and documentation.
Address and resolve any dispatch-related queries or delays.
Team Supervision & Process Adherence
Guide junior dispatch staff and ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
Conduct checks to ensure quality, quantity, and correct packaging before shipment.
Damage Control & Returns Handling
Monitor and record damages in transit, coordinate insurance claims if applicable.
Manage reverse logistics for return shipments or rejections.
