Application Authentication Engineer
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Authentication Engineer to join our team. As an Application Authentication Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of HSBC's enterprise-wide applications through the Central Directory Services setting. You will serve as a subject matter expert and provide technical leadership to the team in all aspects of application authentication via Central Directory Services, including Active Directory (AD), Lightweight Directory Services (LDS), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
Job Responsibilities
Design,



implement, and maintain authentication frameworks for enterprise applications using Central Directory Services. Lead the integration of Active Directory, Lightweight Directory Services, ADFS, and Azure AD into existing and recent applications to ensure secure access management. Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to establish best practices for application authentication and identity management. Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for mitigating security vulnerabilities related to application authentication. Monitor and troubleshoot authentication issues, providing timely resolutions to ensure system availability and performance. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in application authentication and identity management.
