About the Role
We're looking for a Software Development Engineer III to step into a critical architectural role at the heart of Innovaccer's provider-facing platform. This isn't a green-field feature team — it's ownership of live, production systems that power appointment scheduling, AI-assisted clinical documentation, and FHIR-based interoperability across multiple enterprise healthcare customers today.
You'll take over from a departing architect and become the go-to engineer for a set of services that directly affect how providers see patients, how clinical notes get created, and how data flows in and out of EHRs like Epic and Cerner. Alongside this,



you'll help push the platform forward — building healthcare AI agents, contributing to RAG pipelines, and strengthening the FHIR/interoperability foundation that everything else is built on.
This role sits at the intersection of deep backend engineering and healthcare domain expertise. You'll need to be equally comfortable digging into a tricky production issue and designing a multi-tenant FHIR architecture that's built to scale over the long run.
A Day in the Life
Own core provider-facing services
Act as the primary owner for the systems behind intelligent appointment scheduling, AI-assisted clinical documentation, and multi-tenant FHIR data exchange — the kind of services that, if they go down, a provider notices immediately.
Triage and resolve issues in provider scheduling logic, working through complex provider hierarchies and edge cases.
