wLamprell Engineering is seeking an experienced Senior Document Controller to join our growing team in Chennai. In this role, you will be responsible for managing, organizing, and controlling all project-related documentation. You will ensure that all documents are processed, distributed, and archived in compliance with company standards and international engineering protocols
.Key Responsibilitie
sDocument Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of engineering documents, including receipt, registration, distribution, and archival
.System Administration: Maintain and administer the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
.Quality Assurance: Review incoming and outgoing documents for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to established formats and standards
.Workflow Coordination: Coordinate with engineering, procurement,



and project management teams to ensure timely review and approval cycles
.Compliance & Reporting: Generate regular status reports on document progress and ensure strict compliance with project-specific procedures and HSE guidelines
.Archiving: Manage both physical and digital archives, ensuring secure storage and easy retrieval of critical project records

.Required Qualifications & Experienc
eExperience: 5 to 15 years of proven experience in document control, specifically within the oil & gas, offshore wind, or heavy engineering sectors
.Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant field
.Technical Skills
:Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
.Hands-on experience with industry-standard EDMS platforms (e.g., SharePoint, Documentum, or similar)
.Familiarity with engineering drawings, technical specifications, and vendor data
