Job Description: Sr. Technician / Technician

Position Overview:

The Sr. Technician / Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems to ensure smooth and productive operations. The role involves hands-on technical work, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with engineering and production teams to minimize downtime and improve productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems.

- Diagnose technical issues and implement effective solutions promptly to reduce equipment downtime.

- Install, configure, and commission new equipment and systems as per specifications.

- Read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics to carry out repairs and maintenance.

- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, operational standards, and quality guidelines.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

- Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other team members to improve operational efficiency.

- Operate hand tools, power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.





- Train junior technicians or apprentices and provide technical support when required.

- Monitor equipment performance and report any abnormalities to the concerned departments.

- Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely resolution.

- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest technical enhancements.

Qualifications & Skills:

- ITI Diploma, Diploma in Engineering, or relevant technical certification.

- Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and repair in relevant industry.

- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Good communication and interpersonal skills.

- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.

- Proficient in using technical tools, equipment, and software as applicable.

Working Conditions:

- May require shift work, overtime, or on-call availability.

- Work performed in industrial or manufacturing environments with exposure to noise, machinery, and hazardous materials.
