Job Description: A Rolling Mill Head for an Asansol plant will oversee the daily operations of the rolling mill to ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety are met. Key responsibilities include managing the production process, leading a team, implementing quality control, optimizing costs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The role requires extensive experience in steel plant operations and managing rolling mill machinery. Key responsibilities

- Operations and Production: Manage the day-to-day operations of the rolling mill and associated equipment like induction furnaces to achieve production targets.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards through implemented procedures and regular inspections.
- Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, technicians, and operators.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote a protected working environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.




- Cost and Efficiency: Develop strategies for cost optimization, yield improvement, and process optimization to increase productivity.
- Maintenance: Coordinate with the maintenance team for the upkeep of the mill and its equipment.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute plans to meet production, quality, and dispatch targets within cost and quality standards.

Qualifications and experience
- Experience: Significant experience (e.g., 10-25+ years) in rolling mill operations is required, often with a focus on specific machinery like TMT rolling and induction furnaces (e.g., 12TN, 15TN, 20TN).
- Industry: Experience in a steel manufacturing or a similar industry is a must.
