Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to lead the Product Development function for its advanced home appliance segment. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in the washing machine category, with a proven track record of leading new product development from concept to market launch. This leadership role requires a combination of strategic foresight, technical depth, and cross-functional execution capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Planning

- Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and development strategy aligned with market trends and business goals.
- Analyze market data, consumer insights, and competitive intelligence to drive product innovation and differentiation.

Research & Development Leadership

- Drive the entire product lifecycle from research and ideation through design, prototyping, validation, and mass production.
- Oversee concept feasibility studies, technical documentation, and performance benchmarking of products.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Coordinate closely with R&D;, engineering, sourcing, quality, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Ensure design for manufacturability, cost optimization, and adherence to timelines and quality standards.

Technology & Vendor Management





- Identify emerging technologies and collaborate with domestic/international vendors and OEMs for component development and sourcing.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and industry certifications.

Team Leadership & Stakeholder Communication

- Build and lead a high-performing product development team.
- Present product proposals and progress updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Skills & Technical Proficiency:

- In-depth experience in washing machine product development or closely related appliances.
- Solid knowledge of mechanical design principles, component engineering, electrical integration, and firmware coordination.
- Proficient in tools like CAD, BOM structuring, product validation techniques, and cost modeling.
- Sound understanding of compliance standards (ISI/BIS/IEC) and industry best practices.
- Experience in managing in-house OEM/ODM operations while overseeing outsourced development initiatives and cross-functional project delivery.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate market insights into technical product solutions.

Educational Qualification:

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering is mandatory.
- M.Tech or MBA with specialization in Product Management/Technology will be an added advantage.
