- General Ledger Management: Oversee the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial transactions and records.
- Account Reconciliations: Manage and perform timely reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable (AP), and accounts receivable (AR) to ensure data integrity and proper cash flow management.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and analysis to present to management.
- Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting principles (e.g., GAAP/IFRS), tax regulations (e.g., GST, TDS), and legal requirements. Coordinate with internal and external auditors and tax authorities.
- Ensuring tax compliance: Stay up-to-date with changes in state,
and local tax laws and regulations to ensure all financial activities and tax filings are accurate and legally compliant. This also involves supporting internal and external audits
- Team Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate effectively with other departments (like HR, Sales, Marketing) and mentor or supervise junior accounting staff, providing guidance and direction.
