Job Description: A Storekeeper cum Supervisor in a steel company manages inventory, raw materials (billets, scrap), and finished steel products, while supervising warehouse staff to ensure safe, orderly, and accurate operations. Key responsibilities include receiving, inspecting, storing, and dispatching steel materials, conducting audits, and maintaining records using inventory management software. Key Responsibilities

- Inventory Management: Oversee the receiving, storage, and issuance of steel raw materials, consumable stores, and finished goods, managing daily inward/outward movement.
- Supervision: Lead warehouse staff (clerks, loaders) to maintain an organized, clean, and safe storage environment.
- Material Control: Perform material inspection for quality and quantity against purchase orders and dispatch documents, handling raw material unloading and storage.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate physical and digital stock registers, ensuring timely entries of GRN (Goods Received Note), MRN (Material Received Note), and LIFO/FIFO tracking.
- Auditing: Conduct regular stock physical verification (audits) to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
- Reporting:



Prepare and submit daily/weekly inventory status reports and stock analysis to management.
- Coordination: Coordinate with procurement and production departments to ensure uninterrupted supply and stock replenishment.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety regulations, ensuring proper stacking and handling of steel, especially when managing lifting equipment. Qualifications and Skills

- Experience: Proven experience as a Store Keeper or Supervisor, preferably in a steel plant, heavy fabrication unit, or manufacturing environment.
- Education: High school diploma required; Diploma in Materials Management or related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/inventory management software.
- Knowledge: Robust understanding of steel materials (profiles, plates, scrap) and warehousing safety procedures.
- Abilities: High attention to detail, inventory accuracy, and leadership ability.
