Job Description:

- A Crane Operator safely controls cranes to lift, move, and position heavy materials on construction sites or industrial settings, requiring daily safety inspections, pre-lift planning (load charts, capacity), precise control via levers/pedals, constant communication with ground crew (banksman), and routine maintenance, all while adhering to strict safety protocols and maintaining detailed logs. Key Responsibilities
- Operation: Control various cranes (overhead, mobile, etc.) using levers, buttons, and pedals to move materials.
- Safety Checks: Perform pre-shift inspections of cables, brakes, hydraulics, and ensure proper rigging/hookups.
- Load Management: Calculate crane capacity, monitor stability, and ensure safe load handling.
- Communication: Maintain clear visual and radio contact with ground crew (banksman/signal person).
- Maintenance: Conduct minor repairs, clean equipment, and report issues.




- Documentation: Keep logs of material movement, maintenance, and pre-job paperwork.
- Planning: Interpret lifting plans, blueprints, and project requirements.

Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Valid crane operator license/certification.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Understanding of load charts and safety regulations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Work Workplace
- Construction sites, ports, rail yards, and industrial facilities.
- Often involves long hours and demanding physical conditions.
