Job Summary:
The OT Staff Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care in the operation theatre, assisting surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures, and ensuring a protected, sterile, and efficient surgical environment. The role focuses on patient safety, infection control, and smooth coordination of surgical activities.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operation theatre for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready.
Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and surgical team during operations.
Monitor patients’ vital signs before, during, and after surgery.
Maintain strict aseptic and infection control protocols.
Handle surgical instruments, supplies, and ensure proper documentation.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care to patients.
Ensure proper positioning and safety of patients during surgery.
Manage OT inventory, including surgical supplies and medications.




Respond promptly to emergencies and support life-saving procedures.

Requirements & Qualifications:
B.Sc. Nursing / GNM with valid nursing registration.
Minimum 1–3 years of experience in operation theatre (preferred).
Knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) / Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is an advantage.
Robust attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
