We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Platform Power & Thermal Validation Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for validating platform-level power and thermal behavior on cutting-edge SoC platforms, developing test automation frameworks, and driving quality through systematic debugging and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute embedded software test plans for platform power and thermal validation on SoC-based platforms
Validate thermal management behavior including thermal throttling, mitigation policies, and sensor accuracy
Perform platform power testing including active power, idle power states (e.g., DRIPS/SLPM), and power rail validation
Develop and maintain Python-based automation scripts to streamline test execution,
log collection, and result analysis
Leverage AI/ML tools and techniques to assist in automated triage, anomaly detection, and test result analysis
Perform low-level JTAG debugging using tools like Lauterbach T32 to analyze hardware/software interactions and failures
Analyze test results, identify root causes, and work closely with software and hardware teams to resolve issues
Understand CPU architecture and microarchitecture concepts to correlate power/thermal behavior with system activity
Document test cases, test results, bug reports, and validation summaries
