We are looking for an experienced Retail AP & Inventory Accounting Team Lead to lead a high-performing team responsible for Accounts Payable, Inventory Accounting, and Financial Controls activities.

Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end Inventory Accounting and Accounts Payable processes.
Oversee month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Manage inventory, AP, GR/IR, accrual, clearing account and balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit standards.
Investigate and resolve complex accounting discrepancies, aged balances, and reconciling items.
Drive process improvements, standardisation, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Field Accounting, and business stakeholders.
Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.




Act as an escalation point for operational and stakeholder issues.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline

Solid experience in:
Inventory Accounting
Accounts Payable (AP)
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
GR/IR Reconciliations
Month-End Close
Financial Controls & SOX Compliance
SAP (MIRO, MIGO, FBL1N preferred)

Proven people leadership and stakeholder management experience

Ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver results in a rapid-paced environment

Preferred Background
Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Shared Services, or Global Business Services (GBS) workplace
Experience leading process transitions and change initiatives
Exposure to automation and process improvement projects
