About the Role
The MEP Manager will be responsible for leading the planning, coordination, execution, and quality assurance of
Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) works across commercial interior projects.
The role requires strong technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and project management capabilities to
ensure all MEP activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with Bonito Design's quality standards
and customer expectations.
Your Key Responsibilities
MEP Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works across multiple
projects.
- Review MEP layouts, technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications before project execution.
- Ensure execution aligns with approved designs, timelines, and quality standards.
- Resolve technical challenges and provide engineering solutions during project execution.
Project Coordination
- Collaborate with Design, Civil, Procurement, Project Management, and Execution teams.
- Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors, and service partners for timely completion of MEP works.
- Ensure project readiness through proactive planning and resource allocation.Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship and adherence to quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety norms, and industry best practices.
- Drive first-time-right execution by minimizing rework and technical deviations.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard MEP contractors and vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance against quality, cost, and delivery commitments.
- Support commercial negotiations and contract execution where required.
Cost Management & Optimization
- Review project BOQs and recommend cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Monitor material consumption and optimize resource utilization.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering without compromising quality.
Performance & Reporting
- Monitor project progress through regular reviews.
- Track key performance indicators including:
- Project completion timelines
- Quality compliance
- MEP defect rates
- Cost variance
- Vendor performance
- Escalate project risks and recommend mitigation plans.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Design, Procurement, Customer Experience, and Project Execution teams.
- Ensure smooth transition from design approval to on-site execution and project handover.
- Support customer escalations related to MEP works and ensure timely resolution.
Experience & Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
- 10-15 years of experience in MEP execution and project management.
- Experience in residential & commercial interiors, real estate, construction, or premium fit-out projects is
preferred.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Low Voltage Systems (ELV), and Building
Services.• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
