PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Transport Management
- Improvements in truck turn around time, material handling efficiencies, safety and hygiene at the branch-warehouses.
- Continuously evaluate the warehousing & transportation network design to optimize costs.
- Implementing initiatives in logistics in coordination with logistics manager, Head Office.
2. Warehouse Management
- Optimum spends on transportation and warehousing resulting in meeting benchmark freight & warehousing cost/unit targets.
- Drive warehouse audit (material handling, infrastructure, hygiene, safety, systems) feedback and corrective actions.
- Infrastructure development and recent warehouse selection, service provider evaluation for the same.
- Developing existing warehouse's capability (training) in the light of increased throughputs and complexity of operations. Develop alternative vendors to meet gaps.
3. Inventory Management
- Monitoring pipelines of various categories at the warehouse stage.
- Monitoring safety stocks with respect to to changing dynamics of supply lead-time and demand variations and highlighting areas for improvement.
4. Statutory Compliance
- Monitor and provide feedback on transport and WSP operations within the purview of the guidelines and regulations.
