Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Automation Service Engineer to join our team in
the maritime sector. You will work on automation and electrical systems onboard
vessels, supporting new build projects, ensuring system reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Work on various projects in the maritime sector including new builds and
upgrades
• Perform testing and commissioning of automation and electrical systems onboard
vessels
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in PLC, SCADA / HMI, and control
systems
• Provide service and support activities onboard ships




• Execute fault finding, repairs, and system optimization
• Support the new build department, during installation, testing, and handover
phase
• Collaborate with engineering teams, shipyards, and customers
Required Skills & Competencies
• Hands-on experience with PLC / SCADA / HMI systems

- Familiarity with automation equipment and systems such as sensors, actuators,
and drives.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging PLC programs and SCADA/HMI
systems.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and control systems
• Knowledge of drives and power electronics is a strong plus
• Solid troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently onboard vessels

Valuable communication skills and service-oriented mindset
• Troubleshoot complex automation systems
Experience & Qualifications
• Degree in Industrial Automation, Electronics, Maritime Engineering, Control
Systems or similar
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in automation/service roles
• Working experience in the Maritime Industry (mandatory)
• Practical experience with PLC, SCADA, and HMI software systems
