Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Purchase Manager to oversee procurement activities for our Mumbai operations. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in sourcing and vendor management for electronic components, MCBs, drivers, LED lighting components, electrical accessories, sheet metal, fabrication, and other lighting-related materials. The candidate should possess solid negotiation skills, supplier management experience, and a thorough understanding of procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Sourcing

- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for lighting and electrical products.
- Source and develop vendors for electronic components, MCBs, LED drivers, LED modules, lighting fixtures, wiring accessories, connectors, switches, sheet metal, fabrication items, and other electrical materials.
- Identify new suppliers and evaluate them based on quality, pricing, delivery, and reliability.
- Obtain quotations, negotiate commercial terms, and finalize purchase orders.

Vendor Management

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and manufacturers.
- Conduct vendor evaluations and performance reviews.
- Ensure timely procurement while maintaining quality standards and cost efficiency.
- Resolve supplier-related issues regarding quality, delivery, and pricing.

Inventory & Cost Control

- Coordinate with stores and planning teams to maintain optimum inventory levels.
- Monitor material availability to avoid production delays.




- Implement cost-saving initiatives through effective negotiation and alternate sourcing.
- Track market trends and material price fluctuations.

Coordination

- Work closely with Production, Planning, Stores, Finance, and Projects teams for procurement planning.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials as per project and production schedules.
- Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, and vendor documentation.

Compliance & Reporting

- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
- Prepare procurement MIS, purchase reports, and vendor performance reports.
- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and records.

Desired Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 5–7 years of procurement experience in the Lighting, Electrical, or Electronics industry.
- Strong knowledge of vendors dealing with:

- Electronic Components
- MCBs
- LED Drivers
- LED Modules
- Lighting Fixtures
- Electrical Accessories
- Connectors & Wiring Components
- Sheet Metal & Fabrication
- Packaging Materials

- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and coordination abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
