Project Planning Engineer (Primavera P6) Project Execution

Job Summary

Man Industries is looking for an experienced Project Planning Engineer to join the Project Execution team. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in Oracle Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, with a strong background in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and project controls in Manufacturing, EPC, Oil & Gas, Steel, Pipeline, Heavy Engineering, Infrastructure, or Power projects.

Role & responsibilities

Project Planning & Scheduling

- Develop baseline project schedules using Primavera P6.
- Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
- Develop Level 1 to Level 5 project schedules.
- Define project milestones, deliverables and activity sequencing.
- Perform resource loading and schedule optimization.

Progress Monitoring & Project Controls

- Monitor planned vs. actual progress.
- Track project milestones and critical activities.
- Analyse schedule variances.
- Prepare recovery and acceleration plans.
- Forecast project completion dates.

Resource Planning

- Resource allocation and manpower planning.
- Equipment and material planning.
- Productivity monitoring and analysis.

Risk & Delay Analysis

- Critical Path Method (CPM) analysis.
- Schedule risk assessment.




- Time Impact Analysis (TIA).
- Extension of Time (EOT) analysis.
- Delay analysis and mitigation planning.

Project Reporting

- Weekly & Monthly Progress Reports.
- S-Curves.
- Histograms.
- Look-ahead schedules.
- MIS reporting for management

Preferred candidate profile

- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Production or equivalent.
- 815 years of relevant experience in Project Planning, Project Controls, and Project Execution.
- Hands-on expertise in Oracle Primavera P6 (Mandatory).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Project (MS Project) (Mandatory).
- Proven experience in preparing WBS, baseline schedules, Level 1–5 schedules, resource loading, project scheduling, progress monitoring, and project reporting.
- Robust knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM), delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), Extension of Time (EOT), S-Curves, Histograms, and Look-ahead Planning.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Pipe Manufacturing, Heavy Engineering, EPC, Oil & Gas, Steel, Infrastructure, or Power Projects.
- Ability to coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, QA/QC, Planning, and Site Execution teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
