Position Overview

KWANTA is seeking a skilled and hands-on Android Developer with 35 years of professional experience in Android application development. The ideal candidate will have strong practical expertise in Java and Kotlin and a proven ability to design, develop, debug, optimize, and maintain production-quality mobile applications.

We are particularly interested in candidates based in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, or nearby locations who are comfortable working from our office. This position is intended for an actively involved developer who is currently working on Android application development and regularly contributes to coding, debugging, technical problem-solving, and project delivery. Candidates with primarily managerial experience and limited recent hands-on programming experience may not be suitable for this role.

Key Technical Skills

- Solid hands-on experience in Android application development using Core Java and Kotlin.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and the Java Collections Framework.
- Practical experience with Android Fragments, XML layouts, Data Binding, and Android permissions.
- Good understanding of Kotlin Coroutines and RxJava.
- Strong knowledge of multithreading and asynchronous programming concepts.
- Hands-on experience with Android Architecture Components, including ViewModel and LiveData.
- Strong understanding of exception handling, logging, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, efficient, and scalable code.

Database & SQL

- Hands-on experience with SQLite and local data management.




- Strong SQL skills with the ability to write efficient and optimized queries.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
- Translate business and functional requirements into reliable, scalable, and user-friendly technical solutions.
- Implement and integrate RESTful APIs and handle API responses effectively.
- Develop efficient SQLite queries and manage application data securely and effectively.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve application defects, technical issues, and production incidents.
- Participate in code reviews and follow established coding standards and software development best practices.
- Collaborate with developers, team leads, and other stakeholders to deliver quality software solutions within project timelines.
- Maintain relevant technical documentation and support application deployment, releases, and production activities.
- Continuously improve application performance, stability, usability, maintainability, and overall code quality.

Required Experience

- 3–5 years of professional, hands-on experience in Android application development.
- Strong practical experience with Java and Kotlin in real-world application projects.




- Current or recent experience actively contributing to Android development, coding, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Hands-on experience using Git and following standard software development and version-control practices.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
