We are seeking a diligent and experienced General Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling general accounting tasks, bank reconciliations, bookkeeping, preparing balance sheets, and financial reporting. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a solid understanding of accounting principles and excellent analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

General Accounting:

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Process accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure timely and accurate invoicing and bill payments.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Bank Reconciliation:

- Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash records.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank statements and company records.




- Maintain detailed records of all reconciliation activities.

Bookkeeping:

- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Verify that transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger.
- Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries.

Balance Sheet Preparation:

- Prepare balance sheet schedules and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of the balance sheet, ensuring it reflects the company's financial position accurately.
- Analyse and explain variances in balance sheet accounts.

Financial Reporting:

- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Provide support during audits by preparing required documentation and explanations.
