Role & responsibilities

Network Architecture & Administration

- Design & Implementation: Architect, deploy, and manage highly available enterprise networks, including LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD-WAN infrastructure.
- Hardware Management: Configure, maintain, and lifecycle-manage enterprise-grade routers, core/edge switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Routing & Switching: Manage and optimize energetic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), VLANs, STP, trunking, QoS and sub-netting (IPv4/IPv6).
- Performance & Capacity: Conduct continuous network capacity planning, traffic engineering, and bandwidth optimization to prevent bottlenecks.
- Connectivity: Manage ISP relationships, site-to-site VPNs, and remote-access client VPNs to ensure reliable, high-speed connectivity across all corporate locations.
- Tools: Proficiency in network monitoring and packet analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, Datadog).

2. Additional Skillset of System Administration & Virtualization

- Server Lifecycle Management: Architect, install, configure, and maintain robust Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Core Infrastructure Services: Maintain absolute operational integrity of Active Directory (AD), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, DHCP, and centralized file servers.
- Virtualization: Deploy and manage virtualized clusters using VMware (vSphere/ESXi)



or Microsoft Hyper-V, optimizing resource allocation and host performance.
- Business Continuity: Architect, manage and execute comprehensive disaster recovery (DR) testing and procedures.

3. Security, Compliance & Patch Management

- Perimeter Defense: Configure and enforce strict security policies across enterprise firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco Firepower, SonicWall) and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
- Vulnerability Management: Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, system audits, and penetration testing support.
- Endpoint & Network Security: Implement Zero Trust network access (ZTNA) principles, network access control (NAC), and advanced endpoint security measures.
- Patching & Upgrades: Develop and execute automated patch management schedules for servers, network hardware firmware, and critical applications with minimal business disruption.

Incident Response: Act as the primary responder for critical security alerts, analyzing logs to identify and mitigate active threats or breaches.

Preferred candidate profile

Someone who has worked on both Desktop support and Network Support. An ideal candidate must be able to work Physical Networking Layers - Switches, Routers, OSPF and provide end user support for desktop/laptop issues.
