About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Database Architect to design and architect enterprise-scale database solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in database architecture, data modelling, performance optimization, and enterprise database design. This role requires excellent business communication skills and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical database solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance database solutions using SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Translate business requirements into efficient technical database architectures and solutions.
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise applications.
- Drive enterprise database design standards, governance, and best practices.
- Design databases for large-scale, high-volume transactional systems.
- Lead database architecture reviews and provide technical direction to engineering teams.
- Optimize database performance through indexing strategies, query optimization, partitioning, and execution plan analysis.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, security, backup, disaster recovery, and replication strategies.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, and Development teams to deliver robust database solutions.
- Review database designs and SQL implementations to ensure scalability and maintainability.
- Mentor development teams on database architecture and best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend modern database technologies and cloud-native data platforms.

Required Skills

- 8+ years of experience in Database Design,



Architecture, and SQL Development.
- Solid expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
- Extensive experience in Enterprise Database Architecture.
- Strong Database Design and Data Modelling (Conceptual, Logical & Physical).
- Expertise in converting Business Requirements into Technical Database Solutions.
- Experience designing large-scale enterprise database systems.
- Strong expertise in SQL Development, Stored Procedures, Dynamic SQL, Views, Functions, and Triggers.
- Hands-on experience in Query Optimization, Performance Tuning, Indexing, and Execution Plan Analysis.
- Strong understanding of Normalization, Denormalization, Schema Design, and Data Modelling.
- Experience with High Availability, Replication, Backup & Recovery, and Database Security.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong business communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to Have

- Experience with Cloud Databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, PostgreSQL Cloud).
- Exposure to NoSQL, Graph, or Vector Databases.
- Exposure to AI/LLM-based applications, RAG, or enterprise analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of Data Governance and Master Data Management.
- Product-based company experience.
