Role & responsibilities

- Lead the setup and establishment of high-volume battery pack assembly processes and equipment for manufacturing.
- Define process requirements and collaborate with equipment design teams to develop, validate, and implement manufacturing concepts.
- Prepare RFQs, evaluate supplier proposals, select vendors, and inspect equipment during manufacturing and installation.
- Establish and optimize assembly processes, process windows, and control parameters to ensure quality and productivity.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency through cycle time reduction, OEE improvement, bottleneck analysis, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Drive process validation and continuous improvement using PFMEA, SPC, DOE, Control Plans, PPAP, NPD, FTA, and Change Management methodologies.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues through root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Train production operators and technicians on new processes, equipment, and work instructions while ensuring adherence to manufacturing standards.

Preferred candidate profile

- BE/B.Tech in Mechanical,



Mechatronics or Production Engineering with 4 to 8 years of experience in process engineering, equipment selection, and manufacturing process establishment.
- Strong expertise in battery pack assembly processes such as tightening, dispensing, leak testing, electrical testing, resistance welding, laser welding, and software flashing.
- Hands-on experience with pilot-scale and high-volume automated assembly equipment.
- Proficient in process optimization, time studies, resource mapping, critical process parameter identification, and data-driven process validation.
- Experience in continuous improvement projects focused on scrap reduction, cycle time optimization, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
- Positive knowledge of automotive manufacturing quality tools including PFMEA, SPC, DOE, PPAP, FTA, NPD, and Control Plans.
- Preferred industry experience: Automotive or Lithium-ion Battery Manufacturing.
