Distribution Designer

Job responsibilities

- Aerial and/or underground distribution and fiber network design
- Perform distribution and fiber network system design calculations including equipment sizing, electric load calculations, and pole loading analysis
- Prepare design sketches, cost estimates, and bill of materials.
- Prepare design documents for construction, including plan and profiles, structure loadings, design details, trench and conduit drawings, and equipment specifications.
- Project experience in Pole replacement, Cable replacement, Reconductoring, Overhead to Underground Conversion, Capacitor bank replacement, Reclosers.

Preferred candidate profile

- Two to six years of experience in the design of electric utility overhead distribution systems using one or more of the following Softwares - PoleForeman, SPIDACalc, O-Calc Katapult, IKE office. For fiber, experience in AutoCAD and ARCGis planning and design is preferred.
