- The Electrical Designer need to possess the following set of skills:
- Perform Schematics & Wiring Design, Component Selection
- Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 4 to 8 years of experience in Rail electrical circuits design and development
- Knowledge on E3S, EBase, RUPLAN, NEO, EDT+, ELDA, PDM, SAP
- Analyse the allocated requirements to CTC (Schematics) received from architecture BBs and prepare Clause by Clause
- Analyse architecture documents including electrical, functional and performance in order to generate electrical design specifications per main function. Identify requirement needing to be fulfilled by the CTC schematics.
- Understand/support train level system overview schematics per function group (8) with CTC team,
and Identify main subsystem components needed from the same.
- Generate the circuit diagram without intermediate connection (this does not include wiring and was formerly called functional diagram)
- Create list of required I/O for TCMS input in order to align with TCMS
- Verify schematics through review, modelling or simulation. Create FMEA and FTA only on CTC solutions with the support of EWIS safety lead
- Support and execute concept design and preliminary design phases for schematic design activities.
- Release various schematic documents / deliverables in the system periodically.
