Job Profile:

The Technical SME for Wealth and Private Banking Data, Security Master and ESG is an experienced engineering professional with an architecture thinking mindset and business domain knowledge who is responsible for providing subject expertise and guidance alongside the engineering function.

They will lead the end-to-end solution design to deliver outcomes and be responsible for delivering in line with global patterns and strategies where appropriate, aligning business requirements to technology solutions where compliance with financial services regulations is a key factor.

Their primary stakeholders are SVS Business Outcome & Technical Leads, Group Data Architects and Platform Owners, Enterprise Architecture and the Wealth, Private Banking and Asset Management VS leads/CIOs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define end-to-end solution designs for products and features in a way that supports the execution of the iWPB technology strategy and roadmap to deliver the Wealth and Private Bank FSA, articulating and addressing associated risks, issues, and technical debt.

- Translate requirements from the business into designs that ensure products and services meet customer needs and expected Business Outcomes.

- Ensure the integrity of the design is maintained throughout the development lifecycle, liaising with the engineering team to ensure standards and regulatory requirements are incorporated.

- Collaborate with the technical product owners to define and deliver technical strategy and roadmap,



looking for opportunities to improve the current landscape/enterprise.

- Identify dependencies across multiple Platforms and Value & Sub-Value Streams, maintaining awareness of projects/strategies outside of the Value Stream.

- Act as an interface to other engineering and architecture teams both regional and at Group level.

- Lead proof of concepts for new technical solutions and designs.

- Lead clear choice of buy versus build decisions and vendor selection where appropriate.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

- AWS or Google Cloud Certified.

- 10+ years in technology engineering or related technical leadership roles, at least 5 of which are focused on the Wealth and Private Banking domain with significant data and reporting exposure

- Experience working with data platforms, solid discipline in data governance and controls

- A track record in systems integration and delivery across multiple technology platforms including on premises servers and Cloud, particularly AWS and GCP.

- Strong understanding of agile methodologies including experience with tools like Jira, Confluence or similar for backlog management.

- Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making ability.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of the Core Investments Platforms, Wealth, Trading, investment solutions, digital solutions and Data Model

- Exposure to Retail Banking and Wealth Solutions

- Coding capability in Python or Java, REST APIs, Springboot Microservices.

Experience with Machine Learning, Data Science and Generative AI is desirable.
