Role Description:
This is a full-time, on-site role in Bengaluru for a Software Development Engineer. This is a full-stack role with real depth you'll own features end to end across a Python backend and a React frontend, design and manage real-time event and socket systems, and take responsibility for the infrastructure that keeps it all fast and reliable. You'll make architectural decisions, optimize performance across the stack, and collaborate closely with product, design, and fellow engineers to ship high-quality software. We're looking for someone who is equally comfortable modeling data and writing/extending backend services, building polished user-facing interfaces, and reasoning about how the system runs in production.

What You'll Do

- Architect, build, and maintain full-stack features spanning a Python backend and a React frontend.
- Design and develop backend services and APIs in Python, with clean data models and efficient database access.
- Design, build, and operate real-time and event-driven systems — live updates, notifications, and collaborative views using Socket.IO and Redis pub/sub.
- Own containerized development and deployment workflows (Docker), and contribute to release pipelines and infrastructure management.
- Profile, monitor, and optimize application and infrastructure performance — caching strategies, query tuning, and scaling.
- Translate product and UX requirements into performant, accessible, well-structured interfaces.




- Set technical standards, participate in code reviews, and help guide architectural decisions.
- Debug and troubleshoot across the full stack, from the browser down to the infrastructure layer.

Qualifications

- 4+ years of professional software development experience across backend and frontend.
- Strong hands-on experience building backend services and APIs in Python.
- Strong proficiency in React (hooks, component architecture, state management).
- Solid experience designing and operating real-time / event-driven systems — WebSockets / Socket.IO, including pub/sub patterns.
- Hands-on experience with Redis (caching, pub/sub, queues, session management).
- Practical experience with Docker and containerized development, plus a working understanding of deployment and infrastructure management.
- Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and data modeling.
- Solid computer-science and programming fundamentals — data structures, concurrency, API design.
- Proficiency with Git and collaborative version-control workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.

Good to Have

- Experience with the Frappe Framework (strongly preferred, given our stack).
- Experience owning CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and observability/monitoring tooling.
- Experience with performance profiling and scaling of production systems.
