M.Sc in Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, or related disciplines. Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in microbiology, molecular diagnostics, or laboratory settings, preferably involving TB diagnostics or molecular platforms (e.g., GeneXpert, Truenat or similar technologies). Experience in the field of TB diagnostics including specimen handling, molecular testing workflows, laboratory documentation, and biosafety training and good lab practices. Willingness to work in tertiary care microbiology/TB laboratory settings and handle non-sputum clinical specimens, including stool samples. Experience in public health projects, implementation research, or clinical studies will be preferred. Willingness to work in high-pressure, time sensitive microbiology lab setting in multiple shifts per day. Good coordination, interpersonal, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams. Valuable computer knowledge including data entry experience (MS Office Excel and Word). Essential Qualifications Bachelor s degree. Minimum 3 years of experience in administration, travel coordination, or office operations. Experience handling travel logistics and reimbursements in an NGO setting. Skills Strong knowledge of travel management processes and coordination. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills; ability to manage high travel volumes. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). High attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing invoices and claims. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

- Supporting participant enrollment and implementation of study procedures in coordination with the site coordinator, pediatric and microbiology teams.
- Supporting informed consent/assent procedures and participant/caregiver engagement as per approved project SOPs.
- Undertaking handling, processing, testing, storage, packaging,



and documentation of study specimens (including stool, tongue swabs, urine and other study-related samples) in accordance with approved SOPs and biosafety practices.
- Performing molecular diagnostic testing using project-supported diagnostic platforms and supporting standardization/validation activities, as required.
- Ensuring quality documentation, specimen traceability, adherence to laboratory workflows, and troubleshooting of routine operational issues.
- Supporting data entry, validation, and maintenance of laboratory and participant-related records through the project MIS.
- Supporting inventory management and rational use of laboratory consumables and supplies related to project activities.
- Coordinating with project staff, laboratory teams, clinicians, and relevant stakeholders for smooth implementation of project activities.
- Participating in trainings, monitoring visits, and review meetings, as required.
- Any other task assigned from time to time.

Project Overview: The ADAPT-TB project aims to improve the diagnosis of pediatric tuberculosis in India by evaluating the use of non-invasive, child-friendly specimens (stool, tongue swabs and urine) along with other routine samples across multiple indigenous molecular diagnostic platforms in the TB diagnostic landscape. The project will be implemented across 11 tertiary care facilities across India in close collaboration with the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP), and stakeholders at the national, state and district levels. The study will generate evidence on diagnostic accuracy and operational feasibility to inform national scale-up. The Laboratory Technician will work closely with the FIND project team and, project sites particularly, Microbiology and Pediatric departments to support implementation of laboratory and participant-related activities under the ADAPT-TB project at the site level.
