Job Description: Engineer to Assistant Manager EHS (Environment, Health, Safety & Sustainability)

Department: Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

Location: Andhra Pradesh / Karnataka / Gujarat

Job Purpose

To ensure compliance with EHS statutory requirements, corporate standards, and industry best practices by implementing effective safety, health, environmental, and sustainability programs across manufacturing plants and power projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and management systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable EHS laws, statutory requirements, and corporate standards.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, HIRA/JSA, and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
- Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive measures.
- Monitor contractor safety and critical safety systems (PTW, LOTO, Work at Height, Electrical Safety, etc.).
- Conduct EHS training, safety inductions, toolbox talks, and emergency mock drills.




- Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 management systems.
- Monitor environmental compliance, hazardous waste management, and sustainability initiatives.
- Maintain EHS records, MIS reports, and coordinate with regulatory authorities.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education: B.Tech/B.E./ Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering/ B.sc (Fire & Safety) (Mandatory)
- Experience: 5-10 years in EHS within Renewable Energy, Thermal Power
- Mandatory Certification: NEBOSH IGC and Diploma/ADIS/PDIS in Industrial Safety.

Skills

- Knowledge of EHS regulations, Factories Act, Electricity Rules, and ISO 14001 & ISO 45001.
- Solid leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and EHS reporting tools.
- Ability to drive a proactive safety culture and conduct effective EHS training.
