Role Description The Intensivist role at TSN Corporate Health & Hospital is a full-time, on-site position based in Patna. The Intensivist will manage critically ill patients in the intensive care unit, including assessment, diagnosis, and development of comprehensive treatment plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating multidisciplinary care, performing or supervising procedures, monitoring patient progress, and responding promptly to changes in clinical status. The role involves close collaboration with nursing, pulmonology, anesthesiology, and other specialties to ensure continuity of care, adherence to clinical protocols, and optimization of patient outcomes. The Intensivist will also participate in clinical rounds, documentation, communication with families,
and may contribute to training and mentoring of junior medical staff.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Medicine, with demonstrated experience in managing complex, multi-system conditions in critical care settings.
- Competence in Pulmonology, including ventilator management, respiratory failure assessment, and advanced respiratory support strategies.
- Relevant exposure or training in Anesthesiology, particularly in perioperative care, airway management, and sedation/analgesia for critically ill patients.
- Proficiency in Critical Care Medicine, including hemodynamic monitoring, sepsis management, organ support therapies, and evidence-based ICU protocols.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Critical Care Nursing teams, supporting standardized nursing care plans and safe, team-based ICU workflows.
- Recognized medical qualification (MBBS) with appropriate postgraduate degree or diploma in Critical Care, Pulmonology, Anesthesiology, or Internal Medicine, as applicable.
- Valid medical registration and compliance with local regulatory requirements for clinical practice.
- Strong clinical judgment, clear communication skills, and ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and participation in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
