Role Description The Assistant Professor – Business Communication (English Language) will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses focused on business communication, qualified writing, and workplace English. This full-time, on-site role is based at Amity University's Hyderabad campus and involves preparing and delivering lectures, seminars, and workshops; designing and updating course materials aligned with current industry and academic standards; and assessing student performance through assignments, exams, and projects. The role includes guiding students in developing effective communication skills for corporate and professional contexts, mentoring and academic advising, and contributing to departmental and university committees as needed. The Assistant Professor is also expected to engage in scholarly research, participate in curriculum development initiatives, and support outreach and collaboration activities that strengthen the Business Communication program.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Communication and Strategic Communications skills, with the ability to teach and model effective business and professional English usage.
- Candidates should possess experience in University Teaching,



including designing and delivering lectures, facilitating discussions, and evaluating student learning in higher education settings.
- Candidates should possess Curriculum Development skills, including creating, revising, and aligning course content with academic standards and industry needs.
- Candidates should possess Research skills, including conducting scholarly work in business communication, English language, or related fields and contributing to publications or conferences.
- (preferably Ph.D.) in English, Business Communication, Communication Studies, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate theory and practice in teaching, with familiarity with contemporary business communication tools and digital platforms.
- Strong classroom management, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, with a student-centered and inclusive teaching approach.
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues on academic initiatives, participate in departmental activities, and contribute to the university's research and outreach goals.
