We're Hiring | Mechanical CAD Design Engineer (3–5 Years)

Amara Raja Design Alpha is looking for a passionate Mechanical CAD Design Engineer to join our growing engineering team in Kochi.

Qualification:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Industrial Engineering or Diploma with higher no. of hands-on experience
- 03-05 years of Relevant experience in mechanical product design and development, preferably with power connectors or related electromechanical products.
- Expertise with CAD software: Creo (mandatory). >8/10
- Expertise in product design methodologies: GD&T;, DFM, DFMEA, statistical tolerance stack analysis.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including injection molding, stamping, plating, molding, and assembly. (mandatory)
- Strong knowledge of DFM and DFA (preferred)
- Experience in designing latching mechanisms, sealing mechanisms, and plastic injection molded parts.
- Experience with PLM systems (Windchill).
- Experience in product testing, validation processes,



and qualification protocols (preferred)
- Solid communication skills with the ability to effectively present technical information to Product engineers and Engineering manager
- Knowledge of global industry standards and regulatory certifications (e.g., UL, IEC, EIA)
- Good communication and speaking in English

Responsibilities:

- Concept design and detailed design of power connectors, cable assemblies products, and related accessories.
- Support defining and executing verification and product qualification test plans.
- Support technical reviews, including Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (DFMEA), Tolerance Stack-ups, Design for Manufacturability (DFM), and design validation
- Create 3D models/Assembly and detailed manufacturing drawings (with GD&T;,Tolerances,standards) within stipulated timeline
