About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Retail Operations Consultant to support

operational excellence initiatives across retail and supermarket environments. The successful

candidate will work closely with store management, warehouse teams, and business stakeholders to

assess current operations, identify improvement opportunities, develop standard operating

procedures (SOPs), implement best practices, and drive measurable business improvements.

This role requires a solid understanding of retail operations, inventory management, process

improvement, customer experience, performance management, and change implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Retail Operations & Process Improvement

 Conduct operational audits and store assessments to identify gaps, risks, and improvement

opportunities.

 Analyze existing retail processes and recommend operational enhancements.

 Design and implement operational excellence initiatives across multiple store locations.

 Develop action plans and monitor implementation progress.

 Ensure operational compliance with industry best practices.

SOP Development & Implementation

 Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for retail and

warehouse operations.

 Create process flowcharts, work instructions, and operational guidelines.

 Lead SOP implementation programs and ensure adoption across stores.

 Conduct compliance reviews and recommend corrective actions.

Warehouse & Supply Chain Operations

 Review warehouse layouts, storage practices, and inventory movement processes.

 Assess receiving, put-away, storage, transfer, and dispatch procedures.

 Support warehouse optimization and operational efficiency projects.

 Ensure compliance with inventory handling and stock rotation standards.

Customer Experience & Service Excellence

 Evaluate customer journey and service delivery processes.

 Develop and implement customer service standards.





 Support complaint handling and service recovery initiatives.

 Recommend improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Training & Change Management

 Deliver operational training programs for store teams and management.

 Facilitate workshops on SOPs, inventory management, customer service, and operational

standards.

 Support change management initiatives and stakeholder engagement.

 Coach store teams to improve operational consistency and execution.

Reporting & Business Analysis

 Prepare operational assessment reports and executive presentations.

 Conduct root cause analysis for operational challenges.

 Develop dashboards, scorecards, and management reports.

 Present findings and recommendations to leadership teams.

Requirements

Education

 Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Supply Chain

Management, Operations Management, or a related field.

Experience

 3–8 years of experience in Retail Operations, Supermarket Operations, Store Management,

Operations Consulting, or Process Improvement roles.

 Experience conducting operational audits and implementing process improvements.

 Experience developing SOPs and operational documentation.

 Exposure to inventory management, stock control, and retail KPIs.

 Experience working with multi-store retail environments is preferred.
