Role Overview

NR Consulting is looking for a Technical Recruiter with experience recruiting for heavy engineering, industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, utilities, construction, field service, and skilled technical roles for direct clients in the U.S. staffing market. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience working on W2 requirements, sourcing qualified candidates, screening technical experience, discussing pay rates, and submitting profiles within fast turnaround timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Source and screen candidates for engineering, industrial, manufacturing, and technical roles.
- Work on W2 requirements for direct clients in the U.S. staffing market.
- Recruit for roles such as Mechanical Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Civil Engineer, Project Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, Field Service Technician, Controls Technician, Industrial Technician, CNC Machinist, Machine Operator, Welder, Assembler, and Production Supervisor.
- Evaluate candidate experience, certifications, tools, equipment knowledge, location, shift availability, work authorization, pay rate, and joining interest.
- Submit qualified candidates as per client requirements and timelines.
- Coordinate interviews, feedback, offers, onboarding documents, and joining follow-ups.
- Maintain recruitment trackers, submission reports, and daily activity updates.
- Work closely with account managers and delivery teams to support client hiring needs.

Required Skills





- Experience in US staffing recruitment, preferably engineering, industrial, manufacturing, oil & gas, utilities, or skilled trades.
- Good understanding of W2 hiring, direct client requirements, pay rates, work authorization, and submission process.
- Strong sourcing experience using job boards, LinkedIn, referrals, internal databases, and networking.
- Ability to understand job descriptions involving technical skills, equipment, tools, certifications, shifts, and industrial work environments.
- Valuable communication, screening, negotiation, and follow-up skills.
- Ability to work on urgent requirements with speed and accuracy.

Preferred Skills

- Experience recruiting for oil & gas, manufacturing, field service, energy, utilities, construction, wastewater, aerospace, automotive, or industrial clients.
- Experience working with direct clients will be strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with job boards such as Indeed, Monster, CareerBuilder, LinkedIn, ZipRecruiter, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of technician, engineering, skilled trade, and plant-based hiring will be an advantage.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be fast, detail-oriented, and comfortable recruiting practical hands-on talent for heavy engineering and industrial roles. The person should understand W2 recruitment, pay rate discussions, location matching, shift requirements, and quick submissions for U.S. direct clients.
