We are looking for an experienced Retail AP & Inventory Accounting Team Lead to lead a high-performing team responsible for Accounts Payable, Inventory Accounting, and Financial Controls activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end Inventory Accounting and Accounts Payable processes.
- Oversee month-end and quarter-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage inventory, AP, GR/IR, accrual, clearing account and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and audit standards.
- Investigate and resolve complex accounting discrepancies, aged balances, and reconciling items.
- Drive process improvements, standardisation, automation, and operational excellence initiatives.
- Partner closely with Finance, Operations, Field Accounting, and business stakeholders.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals.




- Act as an escalation point for operational and stakeholder issues.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or related discipline

Solid experience in:

- Inventory Accounting
- Accounts Payable (AP)
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- GR/IR Reconciliations
- Month-End Close
- Financial Controls & SOX Compliance
- SAP (MIRO, MIGO, FBL1N preferred)

Proven people leadership and stakeholder management experience

Ability to drive continuous improvement and deliver results in a quick-paced environment

Preferred Background

- Retail, FMCG, Manufacturing, Shared Services, or Global Business Services (GBS) environment
- Experience leading process transitions and change initiatives
- Exposure to automation and process improvement projects
