The selected candidate will be part of astrong engineering team and provide the technical leadershipaligned with the India region.This role also involvespartnering with global P&Ls; for effective planning andexecution of global projects; having close focus on quality ofdeliverables and in developing the best-in-class capability atIndia business across Marine segment.JobDescriptionRolesandResponsibilitiesResponsiblefor leading and coordinating technical aspects of larger projectswith complex architecture that have huge impact on thebusiness.Drive lean methodology to provideoptimum technical solutions for theprojects.Lead Design and implementation ofoptimized control architectures that meet the product and projectrequirements, considering the existing components and futurecontrol platform evolution in thebusiness.Support the business in creating andreviewing (in conjunction with the leadership team) systemssolutions as part of the process, ensuring that solutions aretechnically fit for purpose and that technical risk is understoodand managed with contingencies identified.Todemonstrate domain expertise in Marine to provide consultingsolutions to the lead engineers in projects as well as to thecustomers.Support the leadership team in thedevelopment of technology road maps in response to future businessopportunities and strategy,
while providing direction and a domainprocess viewpoint to the Engineering teams.Towork closely with ITO team to provide oversight and reviews ofdeliverables in the proposal/bid phase.To workclosely with CTH team to analyze the technical proposals andidentify the risks along with the mitigation actions withoutcompromising on the customer expectations.Tosupport sales team in providing technical presentations to thecustomers for winning larger orders thereby enhancing the businessand also to review customer requirements and highlightingdifferences/gaps between those requirements and GEcapabilities.To workclosely with project management in increasing the projectmargins.Interface with Sourcing and Purchasingto ensure suppliers products are meetingspecifications.To support engineering team invalidating the key deliverables in the projects to ensure thequality.To work closely with managers inhiring the right resources, filling the skill-set gaps anddeveloping the talents.To work closely withcustomers to resolve their ongoing issues, perform RCA’s andimplement corrective actions for a better customerexperience.Keeping up to date with Industrytrends anddevelopments.RequiredQualificationsBachelor’s/Master’sdegree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or a related fieldwith 15 years of experience.DomainExpertise in Marine / Oil and Gas Power systems or Automationbackground.GoodUnderstanding on Marine classification Societyrules.Should have leadMarine / Oil and Gas complex projects working with differentstakeholders.Excellent technical,diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.Strongleadership and organizationalabilities.Willingness to build professionalrelationships with colleagues andcustomers.Excellent communication,motivational, and interpersonalskills.DesiredCharacteristicsStrongoral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability toanalyze and resolve complex problems. Ability to document, plan,market, and execute programs.
