Job DescriptionSummaryAs anexperienced techno-commercial and development professional andmember of an in-house team of expert techno-commercial experts,this role is responsible for highlighting, for the GE VernovaFinancial Services (FS) business, the development, technical,operational, cost and schedule risks associated with equityinvestment in development, construction and operating power &renewable; assets and projects – all for supporting investmentdecisions;This individual will be responsiblefor identifying early to mid stage development techno-commercialrisk and proposing mitigants in support of underwriting, leadingdue diligence and support formation and implementation ofstrategies within new investment platforms and portfolio reportingand management.JobDescriptionRolesandResponsibilitiesSpecializein assessing early to mid stage development, technical,operational, construction and development risks in the energyindustry.Support deal execution teams throughfront end and customer facing involvement in development dealsexhibiting deep domain knowledge and expertise in projects frominception to a “ready to build” / financial closestage.Support the efforts of EFS underwritingand portfolio groups in identification and mitigation of risks andin execution of investment objectives. Perform techno-commercialdue diligence for both underwriting and portfolioholdings.Review and instructively comment ontechnical and construction specifications as outlined in keyproject documents such as interconnection, power off-take, permits,land agreements, and equipment, construction, operations andmaintenance contracts,



in some cases even leading / supporting thenegotiations of these documents.Ensure thattechnical and business-related issues are communicated within EFSand provide techno-commercial risk assessments for creditrequestsInteract with EFS customers andpartners and internal GE Power and GE Renewables teams in thecompletion of due diligence and negotiation of financing termsrelated to technical issues.Possessunderstanding of the risk appetite, and portfolio managementphilosophy of EFS.Lead due diligence processesinto new investment platforms.Develop andstructure development budgets, schedules and reporting frameworksfor new investment platforms.Be familiar withthe GE industrial product offerings and maintain contacts within GEPower and GE Renewables.For assignedinvestment platforms, manage development progress, reporting andalignment with project budgets andschedules.Actively monitor portfolio (e.g.regulatory requirements, development progress, construction,physical plant optimization, and contractual performance). Possessin-depth understanding of how specific sub-function interacts withthe broader business, as well as a positive understanding of theindustry and commercial awareness.For assignedprojects, develop and supervise construction management teams andensure construction safety, environmental compliance, costand schedule performance. Provide internal reporting onconstruction status.Support EFS efforts tosell equity positions through assembly of technical projectinformation and responding to buyer’s technicalquestions.Develop and Support investmentstrategies into other carbon neutral GE Technologies within newmarkets. Specifically development into blue power and the SmallModular Reactor (SMR) space.Must be able totravel within India and APAC for about 40% of thetime.RequiredQualificationsBachelor’sDegree Civil or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering andConstruction Management.Masterspost-graduation either in engineering or management stronglypreferred.DesiredCharacteristicsStrongoral and written communication skills. Solid interpersonal andleadership skills. Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze andresolve technical development issues.
