What impact you’ll makeAs amember of the Electrical & Electronics team at AdvancedResearch, you will be an active contributor to the advancement oftechnology in the areas of Electrification and Power Generationincluding Renewables.JobDescriptionWhatyou’ll do As a Senior Engineer, youwill enable energy transition through research and development workacross GE Vernova Electrification, Renewables and Power businesses.You will lead and contribute to R&D; programs, technology andproduct roadmaps that define the disruptive future of GE Vernova’selectrical and grid technologies. You will contribute to strategiccollaborations with Universities and strategic technology /business/ external partners to drive innovative electrical and gridsolutions for GEVernova.EssentialResponsibilitiesYou will work withengineering, product and service leaders across GE Vernova toidentify electrical and grid technology needs. You will workwith researchers across GE Vernova Advanced Research center toidentify technology trends with disruption potential for GEVernova. You will identify strategic partners and create anelectrical systems technology roadmap. You will work with businesspartners to define strategy and then lead and contribute to drivebreakthrough impact to GE Vernova businesses. You will collaboratewith these key partners and executives as well as with externalpartners to:Build a robust portfolioof Research programs to drive the Electrification strategy for GEVernova with programs in engineering across GEVernova.Lead and deliver early-stagetechnology development with high disruption potential and maturethese technologies from initial concept to successful productintroduction.Coordinate disruptive technologyefforts in close collaboration with our GEV businesses and ensurethat such efforts are incorporated into long-termmulti-generational technology and product roadmaps andplans.Lead and deliver demonstrations of newtechnology development in the lab to internal and externalcustomers.Understand and contribute totechnology and product roadmaps to ensure our businesses have amulti-year strategic plan that iscompetitive.Contribute to the GE Vernova wideelectrification, renewables and power strategy for safety, qualityand productivity. Work with each business to identifypriorities and strategies.Provide technicalleadership across GE Vernova on disruptive technologies and markettrends with a strong understanding ofcompetition.Whatyou’ll bring (BasicQualifications)Doctoratedegree in Electrical Engineering – Power Systems or related fieldwith a minimum of 10 years of experience or Masters in ElectricalEngineering – Power Systems with a minimum of 14 years ofexperienceMinimum 8 years of experience indeploying electrical systems to business and productionenvironments and leading technical teams and delivering largeprojectsDemonstrated deep domain knowledge inelectrical power systems including power system operation, control,protection, dispatch, optimization, ancillary and real time market operation, forecast, planning, dynamics, transients, faults,arc flash, harmonics, balance of plant, generators and excitationsystems etc.Hands-on experience in lab scaledevelopment, testing and validation of power system hardware like,controllers, relays, simulation software like, PSCAD,Matlab/Simulink, DigSilent, Python, C++, Visual Studio etc.,hardware in the loop, with demonstrated ability to scale to fieldimplementationExperience leading andcontributing to large research programs, writing successful R&Dproposals;, and demonstrated ability to take an idea from concept toaproduct.Whatwill make you standoutStrong interpersonal andleadership skills with demonstrated ability to leadmulti-disciplinary programs. Influence, facilitation, andnegotiation skills; boundary-less/solution-focusedapproachIndustrial experience in the field ofelectrical systems for industrial application with hands-onexperience including modeling and simulation, coding andhardware.In-depth knowledge of power systemdomain fundamentals and applications with a strong technical acumenpaired with an ability to understand a wide range of technologydomains. Exceptional problem-solving capabilities includingtechnical,

Familiaritywith multiple GE Vernova businesses and shown ability to leveragecross-business networks to achieveoutcomesAwareness of technology in relatedfields such as Power Electronics, Electrical Machines and PrimeMovers, AI/Machine Learning, Cyber securityetc.Shown ability to manage risk anduncertainty for self and team within a dynamic priority-settingenvironment.
