Product Specialist, Genomics Automation

About Cambrian Bioworks

We build automation for genomics labs. Our instruments include Manta for automated nucleic acid extraction, Orca for NGS library preparation, and Beluga for high-throughput extraction, backed by our own reagent kits and workflow software. We are ISO 13485, CE-IVD and CDSCO certified.

Our systems run today at Apollo Hospitals Chennai, Jupiter Hospitals, Vijaya Diagnostics, Med Genome, Core Diagnostics and Lifecell, where our kits have supported over 100,000 DNA extractions.

We are a product company, not a reseller. You will sell instruments we designed and built, and our engineering team sits in Bengaluru, so when a customer asks a hard question you can get a real answer.

What you will do

Own Telangana and Andhra Pradesh for our genomics automation portfolio, across hospital molecular and oncology labs, NABL-accredited diagnostic chains, genomics service providers, research institutes and agricultural and veterinary research centres.

Take over and grow an existing pipeline. This is not a cold territory. You will inherit live opportunities including institutional deals in Visakhapatnam and clinical lab build-outs in Hyderabad, and you will be expected to move them.

Run product demonstrations on customer sites. You will be certified on Manta within your first quarter and will independently run extraction demos, method transfers and application troubleshooting from that point on.

Understand what a lab actually does today, whether that is cfDNA extraction for NIPT, solid tumour and liquid biopsy oncology panels, pathogen detection, or plant and animal genomics, and position the right instrument and kit combination against that workflow rather than against a spec sheet.





Support institutional and government procurement, including tender documentation, single-source and proprietary article certificate routes, and rate contract processes.

Manage channel partners in the region and run joint field activity and roadshows with them.

Maintain honest pipeline discipline in our CRM, including realistic deal staging and close dates.

Who we are looking for

A postgraduate degree in biotechnology, molecular biology, life sciences, microbiology or a related field. Hands-on wet lab experience with nucleic acid extraction, PCR or NGS library preparation is essential, whether from academia, a core facility or industry.

Three to six years in a commercial, application or field role in life science tools, molecular diagnostics or research reagents. Hyderabad is a mature and contested market, so we are looking for someone who has carried a target and closed capital equipment or high-value consumable business before.

The ability to hold a technical conversation with a lab head, a pathologist and a procurement officer in the same visit, and adjust for each of them.

Based in Hyderabad, with regular travel across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh including Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur and Tirupati.

Helpful, not required

Experience with automated liquid handling or extraction platforms. Familiarity with Illumina or MGI sequencing workflows. Existing relationships with hospital molecular labs or diagnostic chains in the region. Exposure to CDSCO, NABL or IVD regulatory requirements.

Working knowledge of Telugu.
