Openleaf is Looking for:

Openleaf is an intelligent logistics automation platform connecting D2C and B2B brands with 40+ courier and logistics partners via a unified API layer. We handle PO fetching, sales order creation, carrier integrations, shipment tracking, payment reconciliation, and GRN automation — eliminating manual work across the logistics ecosystem.

We are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our core engineering team and work directly with our CTO and Founding Engineer. This is a high-ownership, end-to-end role in a fast-paced startup where you will ship production-grade features, own integrations, and interact directly with clients.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable backend services in Golang (NodeJS experience a plus)
- Own features end-to-end — from scoping and development to deployment and monitoring
- Build and maintain carrier/logistics API integrations across multiple partners
- Identify and resolve bugs while gaining deep product context
- Collaborate directly with the CTO on architecture and technical decisions
- Interact with clients on technical matters as needed
- Contribute to platform reliability, observability, and performance improvements

Must Haves:

- Golang as primary language — must have used Go in professional, production projects
- Demonstrated individual ownership of production-grade features in a live system
- CV clearly shows your specific contributions, not just team-level work




- Startup or small-team background with high ownership and low process dependency
- Backend-primary role history — not incidental backend in a full-stack or generalist role
- Comfortable with direct client-facing technical interaction

Good to Have

- NodeJS experience alongside Golang
- Experience integrating carrier, payment, or logistics APIs (Unicommerce, Zycon, etc.)
- Knowledge of concurrency patterns — goroutines, channels, async programming
- Database and caching experience — SQL/NoSQL, Redis, query optimisation
- Public Git Hub repositories or portfolio projects in Golang
- B. Tech in Computer Science or related field
