Roles & Responsibilities Design Engineer

- Design and develop solid fuel-fired boiler and heater systems, including preparation of Heat & Mass Balance Diagrams (HMBD), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID;), and hook-up drawings.
- Perform process engineering calculations, equipment sizing, material selection, and mechanical strength calculations in compliance with ASME, BS, EN, ASTM, and IS standards.
- Prepare and review General Arrangement Drawings (GAD), manufacturing drawings, site layouts, Bills of Materials (BOM), technical specifications, and engineering deliverables.
- Engineer and evaluate bought-out equipment such as fans, pumps, valves, fuel handling, ash handling, and pollution control systems; review vendor technical offers and drawings.
- Coordinate with project management, procurement, vendors, customers, consultants,



and cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution and technical compliance.
- Develop piping and structural engineering inputs, support layout development, and conduct design reviews throughout the EPC project lifecycle.
- Utilize engineering software including AutoCAD, Solid Edge, TEKLA, PDMS, STAAD, and CAESAR for design, modeling, layout development, and stress analysis.
- Manage document release schedules, customer approvals, O&M; manuals, foundation drawings, and site engineering deliverables.
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, engineering best practices, and quality requirements throughout project execution.
- Lead and mentor engineering team members, driving technical excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
