Position: Design Manager

Role Overview

The Design Manager is responsible for leading a team of Interior Designers and Draftsmen while ensuring seamless coordination across multiple functions. The role requires a strong blend of design expertise, leadership capability, project management skills, and customer engagement.

As a Design Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining Bonito's design standards, driving design excellence across projects, mentoring team members, and ensuring customer satisfaction through high-quality design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & Project Management

- Lead and manage the end-to-end design process across multiple projects.
- Ensure adherence to Bonito's design philosophy, quality standards, and brand language.
- Develop project design plans and timelines at project initiation.
- Review and approve design concepts before client presentations.
- Conduct design reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and validate project estimates and specifications.




- Monitor project timelines and ensure timely delivery of design milestones.
- Review and approve 2D drawings, layouts, and technical documentation.
- Conduct site visits and design audits to ensure execution aligns with approved designs.

Team Management & Mentorship

- Lead, mentor, and develop Interior Designers, Draftsmen, and junior team members.
- Provide constructive feedback and coaching to enhance team performance.
- Conduct performance reviews and support career development initiatives.
- Train and onboard new Designers and CRM team members.
- Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the design team.

Client & Stakeholder Management

- Participate in client meetings and design presentations.
- Guide designers in handling client requirements and design closures.
- Ensure a superior customer experience through effective communication and design consultation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Execution, and Procurement.

Innovation & Design Excellence

- Develop innovative design concepts aligned with customer needs and market trends.
- Ensure consistency in design quality across all projects.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, technologies, and design standards.




- Drive continuous improvement in design processes and customer outcomes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Experience

- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Interior Design, Architecture, or related fields.
- Prior experience leading design teams and managing multiple projects.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.

Technical Skills

- AutoCAD
- SketchUp
- Rendering Software (V-Ray, Lumion, Enscape, etc.)
- Adobe Photoshop
- Microsoft Office Suite
