Lead Analyst Credit Risk (Leveraged Finance) – Financial Services – Mumbai – 6+ Years

We are looking for an experienced Credit Risk professional with 7+ years of expertise in Leveraged Finance, Credit Research, or Credit Risk Analysis. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in financial modelling, portfolio monitoring, credit assessment, and preparing detailed credit reports for high-yield and leveraged finance portfolios. Candidates from banking, investment banking, credit rating agencies, financial institutions, or consulting backgrounds will be preferred.

Responsibilities

1. Monitoring assigned leveraged finance and high-yield credit portfolios while evaluating credit quality and financial performance.
2. Preparing detailed credit assessment reports covering business risk, financial risk, and overall credit profile.
3. Building and updating financial models, valuation models, capital structure analysis, and long-term financial projections.
4. Conducting in-depth industry and company research to assess credit strengths and potential risks.
5. Recommending internal credit ratings based on established credit risk methodologies and frameworks.
6. Presenting credit recommendations and portfolio reviews in internal credit committees.
7. Engaging with clients to discuss credit reports, workflow, and portfolio performance.
8. Reviewing loan documentation and recommending appropriate credit protection measures where required.
9. Monitoring portfolio developments and identifying emerging credit concerns proactively.
10. Mentoring junior analysts while supporting knowledge sharing across the team.

Requirements

1. 6+ years of experience in Credit Risk, Credit Research, Leveraged Finance, or Portfolio Monitoring.
2.



Strong experience in financial modelling, valuation, and credit assessment.
3. Exposure to High Yield or Leveraged Lending portfolios.
4. Excellent understanding of financial statements, capital structure, and credit risk methodologies.
5. Experience in preparing detailed credit reports and presenting rating recommendations.
6. Knowledge of syndicated lending, leveraged lending guidelines, or structured credit will be an advantage.
7. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
8. MBA, CA, or Master's degree preferred; CFA certification will be an added advantage.
