What we're looking for

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented backend engineer to join our technology team. You will play a crucial role in our organization, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our backend systems to ensure seamless integration and communication between various software components. This position is vital for enhancing the functionality of our applications and services, enabling third-party developers, partners, and internal teams to efficiently engage with our systems. As a backend engineer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions that align with the overall business objectives.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services in Python
- Architect and optimize cloud-native systems using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Work extensively with Firestore, Datastore, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Task Queues, and Redis caching.
- Build high-throughput, fault-tolerant automation systems powered by AI models.
- Collaborate with data scientists, frontend engineers,



and product stakeholders to ship end-to-end solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code and own the performance of your services in production.

Qualifications/ Required Skills and Experiences

- 1 to 3 years of backend software engineering experience, with a strong focus on Python.
- Deep expertise with GCP services, especially:
- Firestore, Datastore, Pub/Sub, Cloud Run, Task Queues, Redis.

- Proven experience building and scaling automation platforms that interface with machine learning or AI models.
- Robust understanding of distributed systems and asynchronous processing.
- Solid knowledge of testing, observability, and performance optimization in cloud environments.
- Passion for clean architecture, well-documented APIs, and a dev-first culture.

Bonus Points

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines on GCP.
- Experience deploying and managing AI/ML models in production environments.
- Previous work in a fast-paced startup or automation-focused team.
